🚀 SODA Engine Launch Devlog
After months of tinkering, testing, and scrapping features that didn’t fit… SODA Engine is finally live.
This project started as a little sandbox to play with my friend, but it’s grown into a full framework for experimental FP projects. It’s not a “complete game,” but it gives you the building blocks to make one.
🔑 What’s Inside Right Now

ALS Based Locomotion → SE is built on top of the Advanced Locomotion System.

The Avatar / Stat System → A flexible character backbone with stats that affect gameplay directly.

Modular Weapon & Modding System → Swap attachments and expand weapons to your own logic.

Simple Expandable Interaction System → Pick up, press, open, interact — designed to be lightweight but extendable.

Realistic NPCs with 3 Behavior Types → From passive to aggressive, they react dynamically to you and their kind.

Dialog System → Create branching conversations or simple character interactions right inside the engine.

Campaign Tool → You can easily manage an entire campaign with the functions or template.
📈 What’s Next
SODA Engine is meant to grow alongside community feedback. The first release focuses on solid mechanics and performance stability. Future updates will expand tools for campaigns, more interactive environments, and deeper customization. (I’ll keep a changelog with every update, so you know what’s new without guessing.)
⚠️ Final Note
This is a launch build, not a finished product. Expect bugs, broken edges, and maybe some physics that defy reality. But that’s part of the fun — this is as much an experiment as it is a toolkit.
